Fall 2021 SASP Workshops and Academic Counseling

Student Academic Success Programs, located in the Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center (A-LEC) and the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE), offer 40 useful fall workshops that cover a wide variety of topics including time management, note-taking, textbook reading, test preparation, and more. Workshops will be offered in person in the A-LEC and through Zoom. Both undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to attend. Students can register for workshops by going to www.smu.edu/WorkshopSchedule up until the beginning of each workshop. The Adobe Spark, Excel, and Microsoft Office workshops are for both Windows and Mac users and will be facilitated by colleagues in the Office of Information Technology.  

In addition, individual academic counseling is available for undergraduates. They are welcome to schedule a meeting by visiting www.smu.edu/AcademicCounseling.

Molly graduated from SMU in 2016 with a degree in Public Relations and Strategic Communications and a minor in Psychology. She started her first blog in her Junior year and after some inspiration, never looked back. Molly’s blog documents her life and hobbies including running, travel, and her favorite things to do in Dallas and Austin, Texas. Better Together: Alex Quian’s Mission to Empower Youth

In just 30 days, Alex Quian challenged himself to undertake 30 philanthropic projects that would impact his life forever. Now, Quian is a published author, head of a young adult-led foundation, and even a host of a popular podcast. He completed all of this just two years out of graduating from Cornell University. Quian’s passion for servant leadership and community service has driven him to inspire young people to go out in their communities and become leaders in social change.
