PR Assistant Intern – Paid Internship ($12-$15 per hour) We are a fast-growing boutique agency recognized as one of the best digital and public relations agencies in DFW. We seek a PR intern who works under our PR associate and founder to assist in developing and curating content, conducting research, preparing materials, and planning client and team events. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and grow their skills and is okay with working in an in-person environment. We promise to make it worthwhile by celebrating your presence with craft coffee (or tea) and free snacks. We’ll also greet you every morning with a big smile. Here is how you’ll know if you are a good fit for this position: You dream of an internship that will help you spot new superpowers you may not even know you had. You prefer an internship that allows you to figure out things independently while having someone available to assist you with any questions and provide helpful feedback on your work. You are a dependable and organized person who plans ahead. Your loved ones usually turn to you when they need help or something accomplished. You must have your own vehicle for this position, as you will attend photoshoots, video shoots, offsite meetings, media appearances, and in-person research. Any offsite driving will be reimbursed.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities: Creates and curates engaging content under the supervision of our public relations associate and founder, including social media content, newsletters, and media/video stories. Assists with the coordination and development of media lists. Assists with media outreach and press release writing. Provides general administrative support to the public relations associate, founder, and project manager. Helps plan and attend photoshoots, video shoots, and client and internal team offsite meetings and events. Identifies trends, analyzes data and insights, and optimizes campaign performance based on the insights. Evaluates emerging technologies.
Qualifications: Good people and presentation skills – sometimes you may interact with clients. You have the organizational skills of a wedding planner. Disappointing the bride would be a shame! Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, journalism, or a related field.
Work Hours: We prefer a commitment of 10-15 hours per week. Your schedule will be flexible, and we’ll work around your classes. In-office/ in-person preferred. What’s in it for you? Ahhh, the moment you’ve been waiting for, I know! You get to learn—a LOT, like drinking from a firehose. You’ll be working with our public relations associate, agency founder, and a bunch of cool marketing folks to understand how to take the theory you are learning in school, apply it to real-life scenarios and watch the results. It’s like a mad scientist experiment that doesn’t burn down the building. We’ll work with your school to offer course credit (if available) You get paid, too. We didn’t forget about that – ($12-$15 per hour).
