The TFAS Journalism + Communications Academic Internship Program takes place in Washington D.C. where students will practice journalism or communications while learning the ins and outs of the business.
In the TFAS program students will:
- Earn academic credit through George Mason University
- Gain experience through a guaranteed internship at a multimedia news outlet or strategic communications firm
- Live in furnished housing with other program participants in the heart of Washington D.C. where they can fully immerse themselves;ves in the city’s rich history and culture
- Access exclusoive guest lectures, policy site briefs, and professional development events, giving them the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and make connections that will last a lifetime
TFAS is awarding a minimum scholarship of $3,000 to applicants, with the opportunity for additional scholarships based on need and merit. To take advantage of the minimum scholarship award, applicants must fill out the scholarship tab of the online application.
