The Dallas Art Fair seeks organized and energetic candidates who are ready to take on a variety of positions in the production of the fair.
The Dallas Art Fair is located in the Fashion Industry Gallery in the Dallas Arts District. The fair offers collectors, arts professionals, and the public the opportunity to engage with a rich selection of modern and contemporary artworks presented by leading national and international galleries.
Dallas Art Fair interns must have great people skills and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. The Dallas Art Fair is an excellent way to gain exposure to multiple facets of the national and international contemporary art world.
Responsibilities include:
- Front desk management
o Ticket sales
o Ability to handle phone calls, emails, and online communication
o Must have basic knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Exhibitor management
o Organize and manage work orders for gallery spaces
o Supportive tasks for install and deinstall
- Facilitate and manage VIP and general events.
o On-site and off-site
- Courteously provides visitors with assistance, information, and directions as needed.
- May assist in the coat check area as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

The duration of the internship is one week: candidate to work the week of the Fair, April 1st -7th. Hours are generally 8am-7pm, with some evenings.*

*Hours and scheduling will be flexible and based on a student’s current class schedule. If needed, the Meadows Office of Alumni and Career Success is also able to provide a letter for a student intern to share with their professors that will provide details about the student’s involvement in this meaningful career development opportunity.
