Ah, we’ve made it to the end of the semester. As final exams come to an end, it’s time to head home and enjoy a relaxing break with family and friends. In-between grabbing holiday snacks and visiting Christmas light displays, be sure to watch festive movies guaranteed to get you and your loved ones in the Christmas spirit. With that said, here are our student picks for the top three Christmas movies to watch with loved ones.
- Home Alone
You can’t go wrong with watching Home Alone. The 1990 comedy tells the story of 8-year-old Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), who is, you guessed it, accidentally left home alone over the Holidays and is forced to protect his home from dim-witted thieves.
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
This 1989 film is a must-watch over the Holiday season. When Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) plans a Christmas vacation for his family, thing’s hilariously don’t go as planned. Full of laugh-along shenanigans and mishaps, this movie is an excellent choice to watch with your loved ones.
- Elf
Ah, a Christmastime classic. The 2003 comedy follows the journey of one of Santa’s elves named Buddy (Will Ferrell) as he travels to New York in search of his father. If you’re looking for a light-hearted holiday film, Elf is a perfect choice.
