Shugs seeks an outgoing, creative, self-driven, and humorous individual to join their team as a Social Media/Video Programming Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging content across various social media platforms, with a focus on video programming, to connect with our audience and drive brand awareness. This is a part-time, hourly internship position with the potential to evolve into a full-time role in the fall.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Utilize video editing skills to produce high-quality, creative content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms, showcasing our delicious bagels and food offerings.
  • Capture captivating photography and videography of our menu items to entice customers and showcase our brand.
  • Engage with our audience through interactive and humorous content that resonates with food enthusiasts and community members.
  • Monitor customers and staff to identify trends and opportunities for content creation, including food-related trends.
  • Stay updated on holidays and social events to leverage for promotional content and sales initiatives, integrating our bagels into seasonal themes.
  • Introduce our content to new markets where our stores are expanding, engaging with locals and students/ locals to build anticipation for our delicious offerings.
  • Create “hype” content to tease the opening of new stores and generate excitement among our audience.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all social media channels, emphasizing our passion for great food and a fun environment 

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Experience with photography and videography, with a keen eye for highlighting food aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms, with a focus on food-related content.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a knack for engaging with food enthusiasts.
  • Ability to generate creative and humorous content that resonates with our target audience, showcasing our delicious bagels and treats.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.
