It’s that time of year again… holiday season in Dallas! Classes are getting busy, holiday lights are up all around Highland Park, and of course, the weather is as unpredictable as ever. With this season comes many chances to gather with friends and loved ones. But my personal favorite has always been Friendsgiving.
Dallas has a rhythm that never truly slows down, and nowhere is that more apparent than around SMU’s campus. With enduring local favorites that have been part of student life for decades and new spots that seem to emerge each semester, the area strikes a perfect balance between the familiar and what’s new. Whether you’re in the mood for a walk, food, or art and culture, there’s plenty to explore around campus. As a result, the area feels both lively and welcoming.
