We are back for the third time, discussing the most haunted spots that you can visit. Now, we will be expanding the most haunted areas to all of Texas, giving you the spookiest and most bone-chilling spots where you can come face to face with a real ghost.
Magnolia Hotel (Seguin, TX)
Even though the Magnolia Hotel has an innocent exterior, it is much more malicious inside. Built-in 1840, the hotel is home to a reported 13 spirits. The spirits of the hotel have been reported to slam doors, randomly appear in photos, move furniture, try to communicate with the living, and leave phantom footsteps in the hotel. The hotel is so infamous that it has been featured in multiple supernatural haunting shows such as Ghost Adventures and Ghost Brother’s.
Littlefield House (Austin, TX)
The Littlefield House is the perfect example of a haunted house, not only because of the exterior of the house itself. Alice Littlefield, the former mistress of the home, haunts the house. While she was alive, Littlefield was a recluse and a social pariah; some even deemed her insane. After her death, Littlefield’s spirit wanders around the downstairs and upstairs areas of the house as well as play the piano for her guests.
The Driskill (Austin, TX)
The Driskill Hotel, built-in 1885, is haunted by the vengeful spirit of its builder, Colonel Jesse Driskill. Driskill’s spirit is often felt in room 525, which is the room where he was reported to have committed suicide in. In the room, guests have reported feeling uneasy about the room, as well as feeling emotions of sadness. The Colonel has been reported to also leave the smell of cigar smoke across the hotel. The spirit of a young girl haunts the hotel, holding flowers around the hotel.
Baker Hotel (Mineral Wells, TX)
The Baker Hotel has one of the darker hauntings on this list. One of the spirits that haunt the hotel is a bloody nude woman, who was the mistress of the former hotel manager. In life, the mistress jumped off the top of the hotel because she could not handle the emotional turmoil of going through the affair with the manager. The mistress has been spotted in many locations in the hotel. Another spirit who haunts the hotel is that of a man who was killed in an elevator and now haunts the elevators of the hotel.
The Jefferson Hotel (Jefferson, TX)
Widely considered the most haunted location in Texas, the Jefferson offers the creepiest hauntings that we have covered. Built in 1850, the Jefferson has served many different purposes, including a cotton warehouse, hotel, brothel, and speakeasy. I will cover the three most famous spooky specters. The Mill Children are apparitions of two seven-year-old children from the hotel’s cotton warehouse era. The children pull pranks on guests. Another famous specter is the Vanishing Man, a tall, lanky man in a long coat and boots. Guests have reported this ghost standing in their rooms and well as following guests. Finally, room 19 of the hotel is haunted by a spirit named Judy. Judy was a prostitute who was stabbed and left for dead in the room’s bathtub. Judy has been reported to have scribbling messages in the mirror of the bathroom mirror.
