Applied Physiology and Sport Management (APSM) department at SMU is seeking a student assistant for the Spring 2023 semester.
The Department of Applied Physiology & Sport Management (APSM) is seeking to hire a Student Assistant to help with departmental social media and marketing/advertising efforts. The SA will report to the Department Chair.
Student Assistant Duties:
- Assist with the design and development of marketing and promotional materials (brochures, QR codes, banners, etc.)
- • Coordinate and consistently post APSM social media content over multiple platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn)
- • Collaborate with APSM faculty and staff on events and activities
- • Assist with daily office duties and tasks
- • Provide general support for APSM faculty and staff
- • Other projects as assigned
- • May include night and weekend hours as needed, but will not conflict with class schedule
Preferred Qualifications and Essential Skills:
- Ability to handle multiple projects with attention to detail
- • Strong experience and ability to work with Microsoft Suite software (Excel/PowerPoint)
- • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
- • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- • Experience in the sports industry
- • Flexible working both independently and within a team
- • Must be enrolled as a full-time student at SMU during the Spring 2023 semester
Hours and Schedule: 20 hours per week
Compensation: $10.00 per hour (paid bi-weekly). This position does not include a tuition package.
