The Kimbell Art Museum officially opened on October 4, 1972 in Fort Worth, Texas. The works of art initially came from the Kimbell Art Foundation, founded in 1936. The Kimbell collection now is comprised of 350 works that hat not only epitomize their periods and movements but also touch individual high points of aesthetic beauty and historical importance. The Kimbell Art Museum is seeking a communications intern for the spring 2024 semester.
The Kimbell internship program is designed to mentor future museum professionals from diverse cultural, economic, social, and educational backgrounds. Interns are assigned to departments based on their academic background, professional skills, interests, and goals.
