This year, the Office of Social Change and Intercultural Engagement is excited to host three trips for Alternative Breaks in Spring 2024.
Alternative Breaks is a nationwide program that encourages leadership, community engagement and social justice education in an immersive experience.
Applications are still open! Alternative Breaks will happen the first half of SMU’s Spring Break and upon completion, students will fulfill both their Community Engagement and Civics and Individual Ethics proficiency which is required to graduate.
Applications are due January 21st. If they have any questions they can stop by our office in Hughes-Trigg Student Center, Suite 218 or email dpalomo@smu.edu.
