Toyota’s Corporate Communications Department, located in Plano, TX, is looking for a highly-motivated Senior Analyst for their Lexus Communications team.

Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Corporate Communications Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Analyst – Lexus Communications.

The primary responsibility of this role is to generate positive media coverage for Lexus products and brand initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Lexus Communications, the person in this role will support the Corporate Communications department’s objective to create advocates for the Lexus brand.

What you’ll be doing

  • Serve as a key media spokesperson for Lexus product and brand-related topics, ensuring that factual information is conveyed quickly and accurately
  • Collaborate with stakeholder groups to write press releases, executive speeches, and Q&As, and oversee the production of still photos and videos, often under very tight deadlines
  • Benchmark, measure, and improve ROI of events and paid partnerships/influencer strategy
  • Prepare and advise Lexus executives for speeches, presentations, and interviews with international and U.S. media
  • Build strong relations with Lexus marketing counterparts. Development of communication strategies and implementation of coordinated tactics in support of the successful launch and sustainment of each vehicle in our product lineup 

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, or business-related field
  • Experience in public relations or related marketing communications field
  • Strong automotive technical and industry background
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking on behalf of the company, on the record, for print, online, and broadcast outlets
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks on tight deadlines
  • Ability to interact with top U.S. and international executives
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to communicate with external audiences
  • Willingness and ability to travel, often for extended periods of time
  • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position

  • Contacts within the automotive industry
  • Event planning and execution experience
  • Fluency in Spanish or Japanese
  • Lexus or Toyota product experience
