NEW International/Intercultural Course for CCPA Majors

Dr. Greg Warden, director of the Custard Institute at the Meadows Museum, will teach AMAE 3340 Cultural Heritage Studies, on Thursdays, 2-4:50 pm, in the spring. This NEW course fulfills the international/intercultural requirement every CCPA major must meet.

This course can also count as a 3000-level CCPA elective; an elective for Nonprofit and Arts Leadership; an elective for Social Innovation, Creative, and Arts Entrepreneurship; or a CCPA or Nonprofit and Arts Leadership minor elective.

If you need to fill this requirement, or you’re not thrilled with what’s currently on your schedule, enroll in this fascinating class where you will:

• Learn about different types of heritage (tangible, intangible, or natural) and how to manage, sustain, and preserve heritage that has social and historical significance
• Visit the AIDS quilt project at UTD and consult with experts around the world managing a variety of cultural heritage projects
• Have the opportunity to work with actual projects underway in the US, Italy, Spain, and elsewhere
